No person should be disadvantaged by their personal belief choices, nor should any religion hold a disproportionate amount of power. Australia is a secular country, and we should be beholden above all else to secular Australian law.

Who Are We?

Australia's National Secular Lobby provides a stronger and more active voice for the nation's secular majority. Given the result of the 2016 national Census, the objectives of our national secular structure are relevant and timely.

The NSL is pro-secular rather than anti-religious. We work towards the separation of religion and state, and the removal of undue religious privilege in legislation.

We are a flexible team of secular specialists headed by high-profile ambassadors able to liaise directly with senior media executives and parliamentarians. There is no public membership, though we do welcome public support.

The NSL works constructively with pro-secular groups around Australia to advance a national secular agenda.
